It can be really challenging to find a balance between being a business owner and being an introvert. As a business owner, you are the face of your business. You know your products better than anyone else and need to be ready to chat up retailers and customers. Doing this as an introvert though? Chances are, you will find being so “on” all the time both physically and mentally draining. Running a product based business as an introvert comes with its own set of hurdles because our normal disposition doesn't always align with how our extroverted clients + customers work.
In this guest post for Think Creative Collective, I'm sharing 10 tips for running your product based business as an introvert. If you have ever struggled with finding a balance between putting yourself and your business out there and staying true to your introvert roots, then this blog post has your name written all over it.
The tips I'm sharing are based on my own experiences from my days in sales with a New York City based women's accessories company. Because I was in sales people naturally assumed I was an extrovert. In reality, I had to teach myself how to turn it "on" because it wasn’t something that came naturally to me. I’ve been in the position of having to sell and promote a product for my business as an introvert so I know firsthand what it feels like. I can't wait for you to check it out!
